The Pork N’ Grits was fantastic on its own and elevated by the addition of their Alabama White BBQ sauce(how could I say no to something with horseradish!). I was also impressed with the service, the turnaround from ordering to receiving our food was blazing fast!
Best smoked meats we have ever had! Party of 2 , ordered (Weekday late lunch/dinner) : omc smoked plate, pork n' grits, added extra briskets, and creme brulee. Smoked brisket just melts in ur mouth and even the chicken was great (took leftovers to our camping site and grilled them later and it was more amazing!) Grits were so good that we ordered one to go a couple of days later. Creme brulee was divine. It had the perfect sugar crunchy layer on top of the smooth creme and it was perfect w the candied bacon. Would definitely try this again! The four sauces they had were also so yummy w the pork rinds! Everything was super tasty =)
OMC Smokehouse was highly recommended to us by a friend while we were in Duluth for a weekend get away & it did not disappoint. Very busy atmosphere (we had to sit at the bar & as non-drinkers it was a bit inconvenient but fun to watch the bartender making beautiful drinks), it's small space, but service was wonderful & the food was the best Smokehouse food my husband & I have evet had. We will definitely be back during future trips. Also, their outdoor patio looks so peaceful, it was to cold for us to sit outside, but I bet it's a great atmosphere in the summer & fall months. Highly recommend brisket burger & the candied sweet potatoes were soooo soooo yummy (I hate sweet potatoes).
Lunch was plentiful! Each dish was bursting with flavor. My favorite was the brisket sandwich and brisket bombs! Corn was excellent! The Nashville was okay.
Solid staff and great food. It's a must try if you're in the area and love smoked meals. Their home made spicy BBQ sauce is really good as well. I had the OMC plate and didn't spare a bite for take home seconds.
We were seated right away when we came in. I had a hibiscus mint iced tea that was fabulous. My husband had the summit NA dark red ale. They bring you spicy pork rinds made in house right away when seated. Our waiter recommended to try the Alabama white sauce on them which was a great idea. For our main We shared the platter that included beef brisket, pork ribs, and chicken. We added two extra ribs. For sides we chose the jalapeno cheese grits and hush puppies with hot honey dipping sauce, yum yum.. We started with the brisket stuffed jalapeno poppers. I would have liked more brisket in them because it was so good, but they were still delicious. The platter came out quickly. It was all so well smoked, the brisket melted in your mouth and the ribs had the perfect doneness where they peeled off the bone when you bit them with a little bit of chew to them. The chicken was tender and smoky, yum. They have 4 sauces at the table and a dry rub for dusting. The sauces are a Carolina vinegar mustard sauce, The Bama white sauce, a Memphis style sweet heat bbq red sauce, and a chipoltle raspberry sauce, my favorite. The dry rub sprinkled on the chicken was delicious also. We ate and ate because it was so yummy and yet We took food home because the portions are very generous. Our server was very attentive and she was very busy, the place was packed. After we ate we went outside and sat by the fire at their side patio and finished our drinks. What an enjoyable evening out!
The food was very good! I got the Haystack brisket which was quite good although a bit small, the hush puppies were an excellent side. The Bar-B Cuban was quite good as well with a much more generous portion! You also receive pork grinds with a few different sauces to sample before the main dish
The Smoked OMC Plate, catfish, coleslaw, jalapeño grits, mac and cheese and drinks were all delicious! Possibly the best ribs we've ever had. Kileigh was a friendly, wonderful, attentive server. Will definitely return!
I take my reviews very serious and it's rare I give 5 stars but this is the place to go! The service was exceptional from the moment we arrived until we left. We chose to sit outside and the waitress was monitoring an unexpected rain storm and already had a spot for us at the bar for us to move inside. The food was incredible. The idea of a BBQ flight on pork rinds is genius. We had such a hard time deciding on the sides to choose, might I suggest a "sides flight"? Everything we ate was outstanding and fresh. Don't miss out on some of the best BBQ in Duluth!
Had the super nachos and burrito bowl and it tasted so good! I was super impressed by all the food. The service was also amazing. I was a bit worried that I didn't see a kid's menu posted online and I was in the area with my 3 and 5 year old, but they were very accommodating with coloring pages and we felt very welcomed. And there was a kid's menu and the portions were huge! Some pictures of the food, already had eaten some but we could not wait!
